Tuludi Tree Lodge is a new-build ecotourism safari lodge built on a seasonal floodplain. The brief required a lightweight timber and canvas camp that could be entirely dismantled and removed without permanent impact on the environmentally sensitive site.

The client asked for a contemporary reinterpretation of the classic safari lodge that was both playful and practical. The lodge is entirely off-grid, and is self-sufficient in terms of electricity, sewage and water. Our design role included both front of house and back of house components.
