Koru Camp is a not-for-profit community conservation camp that will serve people who otherwise might never have the opportunity to experience the African bushveld, either due to cost or lack of opportunity, despite living next door to this remarkable wilderness area.

The site is a wilderness area located at the fork of two seasonal rivers with established trees and views in two directions. We focused on using building materials and techniques that were simple, cost-effective, and locally available, and maximising views, natural ventilation, sunlight and shade.

The project is currently in design development. We look forward to seeing the camp built, we think it has huge potential to create positive change for people and the environment.

Location: Greater Kruger National Park, South Africa
